Dr. Suriza van der Sandt is an assistant professor, in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at The College of New Jersey, with a Ph. D in Mathematics Education from the Potchefstroom University in South Africa. She currently teaches both content and methodology courses to prospective elementary and middle school teachers. Her research interests include the teaching and learning of Geometry, teacher preparation and mathematics anxiety.
